-        He is specialized in sports medicine and sports physiology, and has advised a number of professional and Olympic sports teams in weightlifting, triathlons, mountain biking, football and basketball.

-        He served as head of medical services to the Spanish Federation of Weight Lifters from 1992 to 1995, and acted as advisor to the Association of Olympic Sportsmen and Women at the Atlanta Olympics 1996.

-        He was team doctor of a professional basketball team in the Spanish Major League (ACB) from 2000 to 2004, and Third Spanish League football teams in 2007 and 2008, and acted as the head of the medical services of sports medicine in the High Performance Training Center in Alicante between 2009-2010.

-        He has lectured in sports medicine, nutrition and physical education throughout Spain, and is currently Associate Professor of Sports Medicine in Miguel Hernandez University in Alicante, Spain, and is directing and teaching special courses about fitness at Alicante University.

-        He is a founder member of the Spanish Association of Specialists in Sports and Physical Education Medicine and a member of the Spanish Association of Basketball Doctors.
